Patricia plays the character of Jill, mother of 3 and wife of "the toolman" on
Home Improvement.
In real life Patricia has 3 children; Henry, Roxanne and Joseph; she is
divorced from actor Ray Barker. Patricia was born on February 23, 1952 in
Bethesda, Maryland and has three sisters. The family was forced to move often
during Patricia's youth due to her father's career in the US Navy.
Patricia started along the road to acting while in high school, and with perseverance
graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BFA degree in acting. The
majority of her early career consisted of Broadway ("Gypsy", "Loose Ends" and
"The Wake of Jamey Foster"), Off-Broadway ("Vanities", "Hooters",
"Cruise Control" and "The Miss Firecracker Contest") and
repertory theatre. Moving into movies and television, Patricia has had roles in
"Eisenhower and Lutz", "In Country",
"Lost Angels" (Mrs. Anderson).
She played the role of Lee-Ann Plunkett in "FM",
Cassie McGuire in "Parent Trap III",
the role of Helen in "Hands of a Stranger",
and Beth McConnell in "Double Trouble".
Patricia also appeared as Kay Dunne in "Eight is Enough"
and has had roles in "C.H.U.D",
"Quantum Leap" and a
TV Movie entitled "Sophie and the Moonhanger" which was aired January 1996.
Her most recent work was a film entitled "Ulee's Gold" and a CBS mini-series
titled "Undue Influence". She has also recently hosted a documentary for ABC entitled
"The Story of Mothers and Daughters".

"Ulee's Gold" opened in theatres on June 13, 1997... Patricia stars as a nurse in this Orion Pictures film alongside Peter Fonda in this movie
about a beekeeper who leads an isolated life with his two granddaughters until he gets a phonecall from his jailed son.
