**NEWS**
It is with regret that we post the news that Earl Hindman passed away on Monday
December 29, 2003.
Earl Hindman was born on October 20, 1943 in Bizbee Arizona. Earl was always athletic,
but in High School became involved with drama, his initial career decision however was
to go into photography. He attended Phoenix Jr. College and the University of
Arizona at Tucson, there he was encouraged to put more work into acting.
Earl got his first professional Shakespearan role between semesters in University and
at that point decided to give up on schooling and take up acting full time. He
was kept busy with a long stream of repertory theatre appearances. Subsequent to
that he made appearances in the Off-Broadway productions of "The Basic Training
of Pavlo Hummel", "The Dark at the Top of the Stairs", and "Dark of the Moon".
He was also lucky enough to land two Broadway roles in "The Lincoln Mask" and
"The Love Suicide at Schofield Barracks". Further, he has toured the US in a
travelling production of "The Great White Hope". His most recent stage
appearance was as Long John Silver in a production of "Treasure Island".
Earl's numerous TV and movie credits include a role as Mike Kettmann Sr. in
"Stay the Night", Henry Macy in "Ballad of the Sad Cafe", Sergeant in
"Fire's Within", as Victor in "Rising Son", 3 separate voice parts in
"Talk Radio", Satch in "Three Men and a Baby", as JT in "Silverado",
JH Potts in "Murder in Coweta County", Lieutenant Hanson in "Taps". He played
the role of an FBI agent in "Brink's Job", the part of Beau Welles in
"Greased Lightning", Deputy Red in "The Parallax View", Garrity in
"Shoot It: Black, Shoot It: Blue, as Brown in "The Taking of Pelham One
Two Three", as Whitey in "Who Killed Mary What's 'Er Name" and a role
in "Three Into Two Won't Go", parts in "A Memory of Two Mondays",
"War and Remembrance", "Police Plaza" and "The Red Spider".
He has made TV series appearances in "Kojak", "Spenser: For Hire" and
"The Equalizer", Earl also played a role in "Ryan's Hope for 9 years.
Most recently he is also providing the voice in a series of Kentucky Fried Chicken
commercials for their "Buffalo Chicken Strips" product.
Earl is married to an Episcopalian minister (formerly Mollie McGreevy) and
lives in Stamford Connecticut where he partakes of his hobbies of photography,
backpacking and hiking when the opportunity arises.
